You work for a games company, right? I have a friend who's interested in games testing as a job. Is there anything you could tell me about it and any info I could pass on? :)
I asked a couple of testers, and the main thing seems to be evidence of deconstructing games, and even having done level creation for games helps a lot. Also it helps to show a range of games interest, to show that you wouldn't be annoyed to play something that wasn't your favourite genre.
Wow! I love the hair on the blonde girl, it just hangs in such a nice natural way.
How do you get this awesome result with watercolour pencils? Do you go over some areas with a brush and water to help blend it or is it purely from the dry pencil?
Ah, the colours are mostly achieved by shading an area, applying water, waiting for it to dry... then repeating. Whether I need to layer depends on the colour I'm using, but I used water on all areas in general. Thanks Lei!
Watercolour pencils! I haven't used mine in years - maybe I will break them out again, seeing this post has inspired me ^^ Awesome drawings~ I really like the Deadpanda Lolita XD What type of paper did you use for these drawings?
I was using heavy cartridge paper, but I regret that it wasn't heavy enough. I think I'd get the thickest paper I could find next time, to reduce warping as much as possible.
I love these, and it's so rare to see you do traditional media XD! (Bet you tried to press a fantasy ctrl-z a few times) The first picture is gorgeous, and slightly softer & more shoujo-y than your usual style.
Haha, well if you see me in person you'll see I draw on paper all the time, it's just seldom I work in colour or to a finished quality, so I guess that's fair. I'm glad you like them though! ^_^
Ah, twas a relief! (actually the relief was a bit later, when I finished all the write-up, haha). I don't know whether they make me want to do more or LESS natural media! XD

I was contemplating getting my pencils back out.

Hahah, I think I probably would have rocked #4 a few years ago...
