Just a couple of pictures I've done recently!
I've been super busy recently, with one project or another, lots of artwork is keep me busy indeed. Still, I'm surrounded by talented artist friends who are a pleasure to work with and a constant inspiration, and great support as well - so conditions for working are very good indeed. Had lunch outside the pub in the glorious sunshine with housemates today, it was fantastic, possibly the highlight of the weekend.

Recently I've been playing a little more Resident Evil 4, whcih is continuing to impress and remain interesting. Sadly my Kirby DS seems to have gone AWOL in the post (posted three weeks ago!) and I'm not sure about my Meteos now either... eep. I've been watching soundslikebuuu play Disgaea this weekend, and the game looks awesome. Sadly the demanding need for levelling, and the complexity and general time consuming nature of the game completely clashes with all my projects, so it would be silly for me to even bother trying to play it. I [mostly] gave up on games like that some time last year when I realised I would never have time for things like that and Harvest Moon. Still, the sacrifice is worth it if I'm able to get projects done instead.

Had a fantastic weekend, with Strawberry Fair, LAC and Yo! Sushi all proving to be amazing fun in their own ways. It was an entirely 'do no work' weekend, and I really enjoyed myself. It seems to have paid off too, as I'm quite geared up and gung-ho for getting back into doing artwork.



Just a picture I did recently based on my comic 'Out of Reach' from Sweatdrop's first anthology; 'Love Sweat & Tears'. For some reason I changed this to mono after colouring it, but I'm kinda happy with it like this. It was interesting to tackle a scene from this comic from an angle not explored in the comic itself.

Things are pretty busy with Sweatdrop and its many projects right now, but it's all working out well and the hard work is paying off. Despite everything, I'm forcing myself to get some decent sleep and play plenty of video-games. I just ordered Zelda: Minish Cap and won an auction for Resident Evil 4, and I've been playing Kya Dark Lineage. Fun stuff. Work hard play hard! Yosh! XD

Haha, just an artwork post!
These are pictures I've done recently, some of which I'm going to do prints of in one form or another. It's fun to do prints of characters rather than just random designs, this is actually something of a change for me. All were done entirely in CG, which is something I'm starting to think I should cut-down on! o_o


I haven't done any decent pictures of Rana since she went 3D, so I figured I'd do something nice with the character. :)

Another quick LJ entry before I get some much-needed sleep.

Today was a great day. I had a lot to do today, and I managed to work hard and get everything done! This included rushing home and working through lunch, and then rushing home and working on stuff as soon as I got back... but all that matters is that I acheived everything I tried to do. Sounds trivial, but sometimes this is a major victory.

Today at work I started on the pixel-sprite based work. It's been a long time since I've done sprite graphics, but I have enough experience with icons and other stuff that it came flooding back very quickly. I was really quite pleased with the results of my work, and I managed to work fast and stay within my granted time schedule for that project. Tomorrow I'm moving on to animated characters, ought to be fun! It's weird though, as the guy who sits next to me is doing tests for next-gen (PS3, etc) hardware - the ultimate paradox to the super-low-res stuff I'm doing. ^_~

Here's one of the peices of artwork I've done recently. Originally intended for something else, it didn't get used but I decided to follow advise and fix the flaws and finish the picture. It's a bit cheesy and worryingly typical of my recent output (^^;;;) but oh well. Hehe. XD

Yes, here's another picture. This was drawn a while ago actually (nov?) and I never got around to posting it online. This is Yaku, from that manga I sometimes talk about and never seem to progress with. I did the block colours, and the shading was done by soundslikebuuu (it's fun to collaborate spontaneously with artists when they're so nearby). Speaking of this comic, I actually do have some progress of Transfusion to show...
