I'm really enjoying having a keyboard for inputting music. It's amazing what a difference the pressure sensitivity makes. I love the fact that I can noodle on it at any point and it will play, because it's the only MIDI input I have. I also received a 'piano chord dictionary' which is a great help.
Yesterday I went out and bought 'Music composition for dummies', and I'm tempted to pick up 'Music theory for dummies' to go with it. I realise I have a loooong way to go with this music stuff, and I'm in no particular hurry, but I need to pay attention to the basics if I'm going to get anywhere with it.
♫ decjingle1.mp3A namco style jingle. Not great, but there it is. A bit grating, come to think of it. ^^;;
♪ decsongbit.mp3The timing on the flute for this piece is pretty bad, and I didn't really know where I was going with it.
♫ headyroll.mp3 This one is
much more complete, although still not anywhere close to being a completed track. I worked closely with the beats with this piece, and I spent a fair amount of time rejigging it to work nicely, rather than being a slave to the melody.
Feedback would definitely be appreciated, especially if you can spot any places that I could improve. These are all work in progress, and I really value input from people whom take the time to listen to them.
